O say can you see...
...all of our 4th of July festivities? Barry and I took a little road trip to, 1st, Burbank CA where we visited his sister Andrea her husband Chris and kids Madisen and baby Lizzy.nBarry's sister Collette was there visiting too. Friday we went to a yummy place for for Lunch to start off our day.
Then we went to a cemetery called Forest Lawn. This type of entertainment might sound odd, but it was actually a really neat cemetery. It was HUGE and had a bunch of famous old dead people are buried here like Nat king Cole and Larry from the 3 stooges and this is the cemetery where Michael Jackson was being held. That's not why we went.
The cemetery had a lot of art. Aslo at the cemetery we visited a museum (free of charge sweet) that show cased different artist, and lots of statues and cool old things.
Madeson, Andrea, Collette and Barry.
Here lies WALT DISNEY. Actually he was cremated.
Saturday after eating delicious breakfast made by Barry's niece- butter milk pie, we headed out to San Diego to see new Mark and Holly, kids and new baby boy Zallen.
Cool in our shades off to the beach
Kaemon thoughtfully eying his boogy board. The water was FREEZING cold. Even so, Mark and Barry braved the waters to do a little boogy boarding.
We found a good spot on the military base and eating sunflower seed and playing poker, the boys and kids patiently waited for Jill, Kelly Holly and Zallen to arrive with dinner to watch the fire works and BBQ.
Barry looks so tough.... but really he was shivering like a little bird. hee hee
this is how Kaemon and I watched to fire works. It was chilly!!
a little tattered from being at the beach all day
It was a GREAT firework show. pictures don't do it justice. There was close to 3million people watching! it took us 2 HOURS to get home.
Mommy and sweet baby Zallen!! AWWWWWEEE!!! Holly is still exhausted from lack of sleep but is in great spirits and feeling well. Zallen is so handsome! Of course!
W had such a fun 4th of July. I am grateful for America. I love this free land. We take so many rights and freedoms for granit. I know we are so blessed to live so spoild really. We have so many opportunities and luxeries that many will never know! Happy Independence Day!!

What? So I was TOTALLY at the base on Camp Pendleton for the Fireworks show and festivities too!!! How funny! It would have been even more crazy to run into you there, but I had no idea you'd be in Cali!
And I totally agree with you, pictures or words DO NOT do it justice!! We had such a FUN time. Its nice to have the "military" hookups for certain things :)
(ps:it took us ONE hour just to get out of that dang parking lot too, it was a MADHOUSE, but overall worth the fun times)
Oh it looks like you had a great time! Fireworks are so wonderful huh?!
